Stacy Waters has been selected to be an “At Large” Board Member for the Louisiana IREM Chapter 55.

U. L. Coleman is pleased to announce Stacy Waters has been selected to be an “At Large” Board Member for the Louisiana IREM Chapter 55. Stacy is the first person from north Louisiana to be selected on the board.  The chapter encompasses the entire state of Louisiana with the offices located in New Orleans. Before now, chapter functions, meetings and courses have been held in the New Orleans area with little are no functions in north Louisiana. Stacy has been instrumental in encouraging the chapter to be more involved in north Louisiana and coordinated the first social networking event hosted by U. L. Coleman Companies in September.

Stacy serves as an Area Manager, supervising the day-to-day operations of the multi-family communities managed by the U. L. Coleman Companies and is involved in training of new managers and assistant managers.  Stacy was conferred the Accredited Residential Manager, ARM®, certification and is currently a Certified Property Manager CPM® designation in 2008.  She is a graduate of the 2005 Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program and served as Membership Chair for the Young Professionals Initiative from 2007 to 2009.  Last year Stacy was recognized as one of the 40 under 40 Top Young Professionals in NW Louisiana.

Roger has been awarded the LEED AP BD+C credential providing him with the knowledge and skill in understanding the LEED Rating System and ability to facilitate the project certification process.  Roger Moore, AIA, NCARB, is the in-house architect for Sequoia Construction LLC and consults to the organization regarding design, construction and development issues.  The LEED AP BD+C credential provides a standard for professionals participating in the design and construction phases of high-performance, healthful, durable, affordable and environmentally sound commercial, institutional, and high-rise residential buildings.  The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) created this specialty credential to denote practical knowledge of the Green Building Design + Construction LEED rating systems: LEED for New Construction, LEED for Schools and LEED for Core & Shell.

Linc Coleman, recognized and honored for his 30 year anniversary as a Commercial Property Manager (CPM)

IREM Louisiana Chapter 55 local members gathered for a social networking event on September 23rd.  Linc Coleman, president of U. L. Coleman Companies, was recognized and honored for his 30 year anniversary as a Commercial Property Manager (CPM).  The evening was coordinated by U. L. Coleman Properties Area Manager, Stacy Waters, CPM and current ARM member chair for the chapter.  Next year Stacy will take the lead as the NWLA representative for the Chapter with activities being hosted locally for the first time in the Shreveport-Bossier area.

Walker Place could be the catalyst for south Bossier

Linc Coleman, developer of the prospective Walker Place mixed-use development, will update the South Bossier Community at Fellowship United Methodist Church, located at 4750 Barksdale Blvd., Bossier City, near Bodacious Bar-B-Q on Thursday, Aug. 19th @ 6:30 pm. All are invited to attend.


David Melville, pastor of Fellowship United Methodist Church stated, “There are problems to be resolved in any great effort. I urge all involved to resolve any access issues preventing development of Walker Place so that we in South Bossier can reap the benefits of jobs, housing, shopping, dining and more. Let the visionaries do what they do best, for we have seen time and time again that our world would be less alive without them.”

Walker Place is a mixed-use development of 52-acres located north of the CenturyTel Center that would contain residences, town homes, shops, business offices, restaurants, parks and other amenities in a single location. Walker Place is estimated to provide: $150 Million in investment, $500 Million economic impact, and 1,400 – 1,950 employees to be housed on the development.

Walker Place would provide much needed activities such as parks and retail and restaurants. After attending an event at CenturyTel, there is nowhere (in south Bossier) for the public to go, and Walker Place could provide that amenity.
